Beyond the chat reply

Some things don't belong in a chat bubble: a one-page proposal, a slide deck, a pricing calculator. When you ask for something like that, Claude makes it as an artifact. It opens beside the conversation, and you can edit it, return to it later and share it.

Anthropic's own description is that an artifact is anything Claude makes for you that you'd put in front of someone.

One setting has to be on first. Go to Settings, click Capabilities (1), and check that Code execution and file creation is switched on (2). It was already on for the new account I tested with.
